A plant that welcomes you at almost every Indian household, tulsi has been renowned in Ayurveda for millennia, and is known to kill bad breath and freshen the mouth.
Known to be nature’s finest gift, it has been used by countless cultures all around the world over the past 2,500 years. In Ayurveda, honey has been known for its massaging effect on the gums.
Neem, also called ‘The Wonder Leaf’, has been known to be used in Ayurveda for over thousands of years for effectively treating tooth decay and gum bleeding.
Also known as Ghritkumari, this pretty green plant is rich in Vitamins A, B, C and E. It is used in a variety of Ayurvedic health products. It is known in Ayurveda to soothe swollen gums.
The Indian gooseberry, used to add tang to our foods for centuries, is actually a powerhouse of nutrients. An active anti-oxidant, amla is used in Ayurveda to maintain oral health.

My take on Colgate Swarna Vedshakti Ancticavity Toothpaste:
The Toothpaste comes in a glossy and greenish-brown shaded cover. It’s brand name, of course, embossed on the cover, in its distinctive red. It feels rustic and earthy. The packaging suits the nature of the ingredients used. It is light and travel friendly.
Taste and Scent:
The toothpaste once used leaves a distinctive clove flavour on the palette. It leaves you smelling fresh and gets out all that nasty odour built up over the course of the night. Colgate doesn’t skimp out on quality. It ensures that you feel fresh and ready to face the day the first thing in the morning.
I have been using this toothpaste for a few days and I absolutely love it. The toothpaste delivers herbal goodness while preserving oral hygiene. I use this before going on dates and it does wonders for my breath.
Another plus is that as it is a natural toothpaste it tends to contain as few artificial ingredients as possible. Colgate manages creates the perfect blend; by combing the Ayurvedic cures of the past with the technology of the present. The herbal ingredients used in it are known for their dental health benefits. These ingredients are known to protect your oral health both by good-old Ayurveda and Modern science. It’s hence fondly referred to as the sangam of ved and vigyaan.
