Hi everyone 🙂
Today, I’m here to talk about a few trends set in 2015 that have turned heads and been favourites. Read more to find out!
Believe it or not, but 2015 is coming to an end. It didn’t feel too long when chunky belts and fishnet was all the rage in the 2000s, but as they say, fashion trends come and go. While outfits are often given all due importance, the right accessories are what tie down a look, so let’s take a trip down the accessory lane and see the hottest trends of 2015
The Boho-chic vibe made a sneaky comeback with a regular bag in faux leather material, but covered in fringes. They made an instant statement and wear classic enough to be paired with any outfit. It was especially popular for music fests and concerts.
This year was all about the earring- from statement ear cuffs, to single earrings, to the iconic Dior Treble earrings first seen on Jennifer Lawrence. Earrings were the perfect accessory that accompanied any kind of outfit for any occasion and they were exploited by one and all.
The perfect accompaniment during Summer 2015 were the oversized sunglasses. It was definitely a 2000s trend, but it made a big comeback, in the form of big, dark frames with tortoise shell print that made a bold statement.
It didn’t matter whether it was the right season or not, but ankle booties were all the rage for fashion enthusiasts. They were worn with cuffed shorts and a sheer kimono during the summer and paired with dark leggings and an overcoat for the winter.
The perfect pair for a monochrome booties were colorful, printed statement socks. These accessories did not want to be ignored and they weren’t. Fuzzy socks were pulled out to warm the cold nights during the winter. Mustang socks in the picture below 🙂
Bold Eyes and Nude Lips makeup
Who said Makeup isn’t an accessory? It can instantly glam up a simple LBD and even give a casual vibe to the same dress. A popular look for the red carpet and coffee runs for celebrities was the bold eyes and nude lips look. Deepika Padukone make big headlines when she paired a gorgeous Gaurav Gupta gown with a smokey eye and nude lips.
So these are some of the top accessory trends set this year that everyone went bonkers about. Can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for us!
Until next time,
Nice picks, love the bag xoxox
