Shaving – Is it a hair removal method I would prefer? | Gillette Venus #SubscribeToSmooth Series

Hi everyone 🙂

I’m back again with a new post from the #SubscribeToSmooth challenge I took up with Gillette Venus 🙂 Last week, I spoke about the second myth that people tend to have when it comes to shaving which is, if shaving changes skin colour and hair texture. Today, I speak in general about how I felt about shaving before I gave it a try and how I felt after trying it. 🙂

You have already heard me tell a zillion times about how I have switched to shaving with Gillette Venus since 2 years now. 😛 So it does not come as a surprise that shaving is the hair removal method I prefer any day! Here are reasons why –

1) Pocket friendly: Be it college goers or working professionals, getting waxing done which costs on the higher side, the pain of having to wait for your hair to grow back to a certain length so that it can be waxed and postponing wearing a nice dress you like can be irritating. Hell, yes! But not for me. Shaving is budget-friendly and also lets me wear my favourite dresses when ever I need! 😀

The only time I go waxing is for underarms. I would not recommend using a razor for such sensitive areas. 🙂

2) Easy-to-use: Waxing can be a exhausting process sometimes. Both mentally and physically! 😛 Don’t tell me you haven’t closed your eyes praying the wax strip that is going to be ripped off the next second is less painful than the last one. And don’t even get me started with epilators. 😐

With shaving, I do not have to worry about any pain and it is so easy to use. Gillette Venus is designed with a curved neck which makes gripping onto it easy and the razor is movable so it slides easily on uneven areas like my knee and saves from any nicks and cuts. 🙂 Refillable cartridges make it easier without having to buy a new one every single time. 🙂

3) Saves time: Gone are the days when I had to schedule an appointment for waxing. Shaving at home saves me so much time and also lets me wear what I want to and when I like to. 🙂 Gillette Venus has triple razor blade with aloe vera strip that gives a close and clean shave without drying out your skin and also saves time from going over and again over the same area. And oh! Gillette Venus shaving foam gel is magic! 😀 It makes shaving so easy and doesn’t dry out your skin.

I have definitely turned to shaving from the last two years and haven’t looked back 🙂 It’s a hair removal method I can vouch on if done in the right way!
