How has your extended weekend been so far? Firstly, HAPPPPY REPUBLIC DAY!! This weekend all I have been reading about is Obama’s visit to India on Republic Day. I was quite surprised to see all the cleaning going on at Agra just because Mr.President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were visiting Taj Mahal 😛 People living in Agra started thinking the cleaning was part of “Swachh Bharat” campaign. LOL 😀 Or else I have heard the place around Taj Mahal is kept very dirty 😐 Wait, not ONLY that. In a country where in a day so many rape cases are reported, safety in the form of CCTV cameras weren’t installed. But now Agra alone has 15,000 CCTVs installed to safeguard Mr.President and Michelle Obama. I wouldn’t say that’s wrong at all because guests are always supposed to be treated that way but why can’t that kinda security be provided for citizens as well? And now here’s the EPIC news 😛 Mr.President cancelled their visit to Agra. hahaha ! But let’s actually thank him because if not for him, Agra wouldn’t have been the cleanest city in India 😛
Anyhow, today I’m doing a review that has been pending forever! When Maybelline launched these cuties, I went berserk and got myself 3 variants out of 4.
I need to admit… I have Maybelline Baby Lips Syndrome! 😐 I most probably have 3 in my bag right now, 2 neatly packed and not opened yet in my stash, 2 lying on my vanity table like right now and 1 lying RIGHT next to me 😐 I can never have enough of these! Do you suffer from this syndrome too? Let me know in the comments below! It’s always nice to meet like-minded people 😀 Baby Lips has never disappointed me till date and let’s see if these 3 Electro Pop versions live up to its expectations 🙂

My take on Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Lip Balms
There are four variants but I am a fan of tinted lip balms so I bought these 3.
Packaging: Unlike the previous packaging of Maybelline Baby Lips Indian version, this time Maybelline India introduced the packaging like the ones in the West. I love it! ♥ Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Lip Balms come in a twist-up black casing with a clear cap that has the name of the shade embossed on it in the respective colour. But one has to be careful while closing the cap as the lip balm does not completely go inside the tube so you might just end up nicking it. But otherwise, I love how I can just toss it away in my bag and don’t have to worry about the cap loosening or anything else. Definitely travel-friendly! 🙂
Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm Pop Pink Shock: This one is the most pigmented of the lot. It’s a sheer coral pink that goes on extremely smooth on the lips. If you are someone who likes that slight colour on your lips, you can use this alone. Also this one leaves a light pink stain on my lips. It looks so natural, so healthy that this has become my work essential now. 😀 The texture is super smooth and it just glides easily on my lips. It may not be able to cover heavily pigmented lips but multiple swipes can definitely work! The results after using this one was really good. I was sick for almost 2 weeks during winters and was on medication. All those tablets had taken a toll on my lips and they were chapped horribly. Pink Shock brought my lips back to normal and in fact made them healthier 🙂 Love! ♥
All Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Lip Balms have a fruity fragrance that you would definitely love 😀
Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Lip Balm Berry Bomb: Less pigmented than Oh Orange and Pink Shock, Berry Bomb is a purplish tinted lip balm that hardly shows up on the lips. It’s too sheer and works best if you use it before applying a lipstick. The texture is again super smooth and glides on easily. This is something I use every night and it does its job pretty awesome! 🙂 No complaints there!
Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Lip Balm Oh Orange: This one is a sheer orange shade that works well even if you like to use it on its own. This one unlike Pink Shock needs multiple swipes though. Also,I find the texture of this one slightly waxy. But again, it works like a charm 😀
All three stay for almost 2 to 3 hours maximum after which re-application would be necessary. But again, which lip balm doesn’t? 😛
Pros of Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Lip Balms:
- Cute packaging
- Intense moisture
- Good Color Pay off
- Heals chapped lips
- Leaves your lips feeling soft and supple
- Comes in tinted as well non-tinted variants which makes decisions easier 😀
Cons of Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Lip Balms:
- Doesn’t live up to the 8-hour claims. Lasts for maximum 3 hours on lips.
The Jeromy Diaries Verdict
On the whole, I am very happy with this Electro Pop range that Maybelline launched. These are my HG lip balm any day so I would repurchase them forever 😀
