Hello there! 🙂
How have you been? ♥ It’s been quite sometime since I did an outfit post on the blog! Isn’t it? Well, blame ‘no photographer’ phase 😐 Ferrol stays miles away and he being my personal photographer forever, it’s hard to look for anyone else when he is not around. But yes, with this post, I would like to introduce my collaboration with a new photographer friend I have found in Francis Roshan. You will see more of his work on the blog now! 🙂
Anyhow, today I am back with not one but two outfit ideas for July. Yes, an overdose for not sharing my outfit posts for quite sometime! 😛 I am styling both these outfits in collaboration with American Swan!
A little about American Swan from their website before I share how I styled these outfits –
American Swan is an International online Fashion & Lifestyle brand that combines Urban American Lifestyle with a quintessential Youth-oriented Fashion: its Spirit, Energy and Authenticity. The brand offers an invigorating twist to the genre of preppy fashion, offering an authentic casual wear range to the youth who seek occasion-led collections. American Swan encourages its audience to embark on a journey of discovering one’s unique spirit and choose apparel that help express one’s Individuality. Simply put, it is about being and celebrating ‘who you are’. American Swan, with its distinctive range of Men’s and Women’s apparel, accessories and footwear is inspired by chic urban Americana lifestyle. The styling is distinctly modern and voguish, with an emphasis on design, quality, innovation and affordability.
Now that you know a bit about the brand, here’s what I styled from their collection –
Skater Dress
I cannot stress on how versatile skater dresses are! I love skater dresses because it’s cute, easy to style and chic. You can amp it up by styling them with wedges or keep it simple with a pair of flats like I have. 🙂
This red/black combination of skater dress that I chose has beautiful floral patterns on it which does all the talking. I have not added any accessories to my outfit except for a few rings that I always wear!I love the A-line of this skater dress.
I have styled it very simple for days where you are going on a coffee date, maybe? 🙂 All details about where the accessories are from will be given at the end of the post.
If you know me well, my love for palazzos is a little too much. I have previously styled them with printed tops as well as plain tops.
Here, I have styled pleated palazzos with a vertical striped monochrome top. These palazzos are not the usual wide legged ones and are structured palazzos. 🙂 Never actually had one so thought I should give it a try!
When I styled this outfit, I was thinking on the lines of ‘what-to-wear-if-you-have-blog-meetings-as-well-as-work-on-the-same-day’. 😛 Well, this is how I would be but would replace the American Swan clutch here with a tan tote for a long day! I threw in a pair of American Swan shoes with snake-skin print that compliments the outfit.
So this is how I styled skater dresses and palazzos. If you don’t own a skater dress, get it. It accentuates your curves and also brings out the bubbly side of you! 😀 Makes you feel like you are back to college again. 😛 I need that right now. Haha
If you already own these staples, tell me how you pair them up 🙂 I would love to hear your suggestions!
