tips to spot northern lights in Toronto today 🇨🇦👇🏼

I saw it yesterday so I’d like to share some tips on how to spot it. Let’s not be delulu. You can’t see it in the city with all those lights. But the area marked in red in the video is where there is possibility of northern lights - which covers almost whole of Canada 🇨🇦 tips below on spotting Aurora 👇🏼

✨ you need to get away from the city lights / cloudy skies

✨ take a long drive (1 / 1.5 hr from Toronto) to smaller cities. I live in Paris, Ontario and we could see it yesterday 🥰 I’ll be Aurora hunting tonight as well 😍

✨ look for dark skies and point your phone towards the sky because that’s how you can initially spot the aurora. Aurora borealis starts out really faint so you won’t be initially be able to see the Aurora with naked eyes. 👀

✨ But auroras get stronger throughout the night for you to be able to see it with naked eyes as well 🫶🥹 you can see it dance and it’s the most beautiful feeling ever 🥰

in my defence, I hadn’t slept on the flight and this was 4am in Iceland airport when we landed 🇮🇸😂

I clearly thought Iceland was saving the planet 🌎🤣 I have a lot of content from Iceland but this had to be the first one to share from when we landed 😂

P.S - There is water in all washrooms 😂 also Iceland washrooms are soooo clean, everywhere you go. In the city, rural areas, gas stations (their gas stations are luxury ✨) - some washrooms looked so chic and modern in the middle of nowhere between lava remains and beautiful nature. This country truly has my heart ❤️
