Hi everyone 🙂
How are you all doing? How is your weekend coming along? I have something nice planned tomorrow and I hope it turns out as exciting as I expect it to be 😛 I’ll snapchat throughout the whole process so that you have an idea about it as well. 🙂 You can follow us on Snapchat on ID – thejeromydiary to catch up on all updates!
Anyhoo, I’m sure you know from my social media updates that I was at The Black Rabbit the other day to celebrate 15 years of Planet Fashion! Oh yes, launched way back in 2001 by Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, Planet Fashion completed 15 years of providing amazing menswear 🙂
On the occasion, Planet Fashion showcased their latest collection at a fashion show featuring Santosh CS – a Rally Biker and BehramSiganporia – the lead of the music band One Night Stand. The show, which is divided into 4 sections, offers the progressive Indian man a host of wardrobe solutions for all occasions.
But before I talk about the collections we witnessed, a little introduction on Planet Fashion 🙂
Over the last 15 years, Planet Fashion has made men look good and fashionable and continues to make them look better with their handpicked collection of Suits, Jackets, Shirts, Trousers, denim and Accessories. Today, Madura Fashion & Lifestyle has the highest market share in the premium men’s wear segment in the country. The apparel-retailing arm of the company, Planet Fashion, houses leading in-house brands such as Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Peter England, and Allen Solly.
With 240 stores across 180 towns, Planet Fashion is the largest apparel retail chain of its kind in the country. The winning retail model has been successful not only in premium locations, but also in smaller towns such as Udupi, Bareilly and Dehradun.
Now that you know about Planet Fashion, I’ll talk about the fashion show showcasing their Autumn/Winter 2015 collection. 🙂
The Suit Collective: A stunning and endless gathering of Classic Suits, Tuxedos, three piece suits and Bandhgalas. The Suit Collective is a celebration of the groom, his friends and their wedding trousseau. It’s wedding season and this collection came in at the right time 🙂 Come December and the men in my family sport suits for Christmas. My dad and brother are great fans of Peter England and the collection on display was something that they already have eyes on 😀
All whites: Every white shirt you ever dreamt of having – from classic plain to textured stripes. An array of collars and cuffs to play with, the best white shirt leads this pristine offering. This was my favourite collection out of the lot! I loved how I could find whites in different designs and textures ♥
Wrinkle Frees: Turn every head in your workplace! Stay comfortable and stylish with easy and low maintenance everyday work wear range. The non-iron shirt from this collection can’t be missed and deserves to be hunted down and pinned up! This was such a new concept for me 😀 Okay, I don’t know everything about menswear, so what? 😛 But this collection should come out for women in brands we love. How getting ready to work would get super easy 😀
Party Attire: When you want to party have to make a pit stop at Planet Fashion. Period. The collection features shirts and jackets that get you in the groove much before your spirits end up high. So this collection had variations ranging from shorts (Hello! What if it’s a beach party 😉 ) to jackets and shirts which I absolutely loved! 🙂
On the whole, Planet Fashion put up a great show to celebrate 15 years of premium menswear and also by giving men more reason to rejoice with their Autumn/Winter 2015 collection! 😛 Diwali shopping around the corner? You know where to go 😀
So which collection did you like the most? 🙂 Let me know in the comments below!
Until next time,
