Nyx Studio Perfect Photo-Loving Primer Review

Hellooooo 🙂

How are you all? How is the week coming along? Mine doesn’t seem to come to an end! 😐 These days all I do is wait for weekends 😛 That feeling of not having to set an alarm for the next day is bliss for me ♥

Anyhooo, today I am reviewing a primer I got from my Nyx haul . As I have already mentioned earlier that I have oily/combination skin type..my skin gets really oily at the end of the day. I do wash my face twice a day and keep the oiliness at bay.But imagine you are at a shaadi(marriage) with all that gorgeous makeup done and by mid-day your makeup is draining off your face…eeeeeks! 😐 That’s what an oily face can do to you. So I saw this online and decided to pick it up for such occasions 🙂 Read on to find out how it fared for me.

My take on Nyx Studio Perfect Photo-Loving Primer in Clear/Transparent

After reading rave reviews of these primers, I bought the one in Clear/Transparent.

Packaging: This comes in a black tube which is slightly translucent which makes it easier for you to know when it’s over. Has a black twist-to-open cap and sits tight with no leakage what so ever. It’s about 6 inches in height and can fit in your travel bag easily. 🙂

Texture: The primer is transparent with gel-like consistency and goes on super-smooth on application. I bought this for the sole reason of controlling the oil factor on my face on a long day outside. I have applied this once to a marriage and my foundation did not budge the entire day! I loooove the fact that even by the end of the day, my skin had that dewy shine and not a greasy-oily look. 🙂 I use just a dot amount of the product for every application and that’s more than enough to cover the entire face. Here, a little bit goes a long way 🙂

When I apply my foundation on top of this, the foundation blends like a dream. The only con I see about using a primer is the presence of Silicone in it. And I make sure I don’t use it on a daily basis because of that con.

  1. nice review Jeromy 🙂 but do a review on less silicon for daily basis… if there are any ….. <3

    1. Revathi, most primers are silicone based 🙁 Can’t actually find primers without them.
