Canada agrees with me too, now that the holiday decor is almost everywhere! Hudson’s Bay & Saks Fifth officially opened their iconic holiday windows, the holiday cups are out at all coffee shops and there’s a nip in the air that constantly reminds me that Christmas season is what I LIVE FOR! Now getting to the exact reason as to why I am writing this blog post 😛 Yes, we have been seeing the NARS Climax mascara everywhere the last few weeks and when I saw this at Sephora, I couldn’t resist picking it up. I have been using it for two weeks now and here’s my review on it.

My take on NARS Climax mascara
Packaging: I have been using NARS Climax mascara for two weeks now and my first impressions about the product was that the packaging is very unique! I feel like the packaging is designed in a way that gives you more grip & control during application. The NARS Climax mascara wand has ribbed bristles that actually coats each lash and gives instant volume. One coat gives such insane volume!
Formula: The formula of the mascara is creamy because of Lash Moisture complex that is present in this one. I hate when mascaras go on clumpy and the NARS Climax mascara doesn’t do that at all. Definitely clump-free and feels soft on the lashes! Even when you have two or three coats of the mascara, you wouldn’t feel that because of how light the formula is.
I like the fact that NARS Climax mascara is free of parabens, sulphates & phthalates.
Results after using it for two weeks: NARS Climax mascara can really build more volume with every coat I apply and lifts my lashes. You can see it in the picture below of me with the mascara on. On the left, I have no mascara on and the one on the right is with 2 coats of NARS Climax mascara.
I have had the NARS Climax mascara on the entire day and haven’t seen it flake or smudge through out. As far as flake-free & smudge-resistance is concerned, I would say it is 90%. I say that only because this isn’t waterproof. For example, if the cold wind outside gives you teary eyes and you try to wipe your eyes, you might see some flakes & the mascara does smudge when in contact with water. But that’s only because the mascara isn’t waterproof.
Honestly, I prefer mascaras that aren’t waterproof because they aren’t harsh on my lashes. If NARS comes out with a waterproof version, I’m sure it will be 100% flake-free & smudge-resistant. 🙂

- If you are looking for a waterproof mascara, you would probably give this a miss
The Jeromy Diaries Verdict
My final verdict on the NARS Climax mascara would be that it’s definitely a must try! I’m not a fan of waterproof mascaras so this fits what I look for in my mascara. If you are looking for a mascara that gives full and maximum volume, try this one out!
