How are you all doing? I’m finally recovering from the food poisoning I had last weekend. I can’t really think of having food from outside for sometime. 😐
Anyhoo, I’m sure you all know by now the #SubscribeToSmooth series I have been writing about. Last week, I spoke about Myth One which is if ‘Shaving makes your skin dry and flaky?’. This time, I’m busting Myth Two, which is –
Does shaving change skin color and hair texture?
No! I never saw a change in my hair texture 🙂 And to put this myth to an end, Dr. Rashmi Shetty at the Gillette Venus Bloggers meet I was at, told us how hair growth completely depends upon each individual. While some have fine hair, some have thick coarse hair. In my case, I fall somewhere in the middle. Neither too thick nor too fine! Dr. Rashmi Shetty also mentioned how shaving can in no way result in thickening of hair that grows back.
However, if any of you do see any a difference in hair texture or skin colour, it’s because the method to shave used is incorrect. With shaving, more than the actual shaving, it’s the prepping and after shave treatment that plays a vital role. More insights on how to shave effectively with the refillable razor, shaving gel and cartridges in the shaving kit will be covered in the next #SubscribeToSmooth series! So stay tuned 🙂
