Howdddyyyy 😀
How are you spending your weekend? I have been preparing for my mum’s birthday tomorrow 🙂 I hope she likes what I bought for her. Will keep you posted on that on my Instagram or Twitter feed! 😀
My January Fab Bag finally arrived yesterday!! Wee bit late than usual but when I see the products, I tend to forget that 😛
For people who have no idea about Fab Bag, here is a quick introduction:
Fab bag (previously known as Velvette Box) is a beauty box where in you will be sent a box full of samples or full size makeup/beauty products to try every month. You can subscribe on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly or a full year basis. The box costs Rs.599 per month but with longer subscriptions, you get better deals 🙂 Soooo… they send a gorgeous bag full of samples from deluxe cosmetics and beauty products from top global brands! Sounds nice right?
Fab Bags are available both for men and for women. What? Men do need to groom themselves, you know 😛 All you have to do is answer a simple questionnaire when you register for the first time.(This is an important step because the products you get depend solely on this questionnaire)
Anyhoo, January Fab Bag was a glossy pink bag which I absolutely loved! Can see myself using it for the next few days or more 😀 This month Fab Bag had the theme Beauty Unmasked. That’s why the Fab Mask 😉 This bag mostly focuses on a throwback to your beauty regime and what you need to improve on that this New Year 🙂
Now the un-boxing!
These are the things I received in my January Fab Bag 2015. Let me take you through…
WARNING: Heavy pictures coming through!
- Fab Bag introduced Laqa and Co Cosmetics this month. I got a full size of Laqa and Co Fat Lip Pencil in Jammy Bastard. What a name 😛 Laqa and Co lip pencils are balmy and moisturizing like Revlon Lacquer balms. The fragrance is exactly like the Revlon ones. This was the product I had been waiting to get my hands on. Jammy Bastard is a orange shade…wait, let me correct that, frosty orange shade. It looks like a bright orange but on application it is a pale frosty orange. It washed me out completely. 😐 I think porcelain skin tones can carry this shade with ease. Not my cup of tea. Also, this one goes on streaky and settles between fine lines 🙁 But as the Fab Tip says, you can use this as a cheek stain too. So maybe…just maybe, it might work. Let’s see! I’ll keep you updated on that. 🙂
- Next up, Fab Bag also introduced Bioderma products this time. I got a sample size of Bioderma Sebium Gel Moussant. It’s a purifying cleansing foam wash that works for acne prone or sensitive skin. I have always wanted to try products from Bioderma for the longest time but had second thoughts as I did not want to buy the full size at once. So this sample comes as a saviour! ♥ The sample size is good enough to decide if the moussant works for me or not 🙂 Love!
- Seasoul Cosmetics isn’t new to us, isn’t it 🙂 It was introduced in the October Fab Bag 2014 which I reviewed here. This time around, I got a full size of Seasoul Cosmetics Professional Dead Sea Facial Mud Mask! Looking forward to use this one! 😀
- Last sample in my January Fab Bag is this Splurge Daily Moisturizer which Fab Bag introduced this month. I haven’t heard of this brand ever but what actually caught my attention was that Splurge is handmade and cruelty-free. This moisturizer smells like talcum powder on application and I must say I’m pretty impressed with the ingredients list. 🙂
The Jeromy Diaries Verdict
On the whole, this month Fab Bag was a good compilation but the only thing that I have never been satisfied with are the lip shades I receive. I have received lip shades earlier as well which have washed me out and I hope someday, this will be solved 😛
On our TJD score card,

January Fab Bag 2015 scores a Grade B+.
So…what did you get in your January Fab Bag? Did you like what you got? Let me know in the comments below!
Until next time,
Ciao. ♥
